| J.K. Montessorie School hosts live musical concert | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb2: J.K. Montessorie Sen. Sec School today hosted a live musical concert as a part of 7th 'Sa Ma Pa Aalap" Festival being presented by the Sopori Academy of music and performing arts in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Development of J&K Tourism, Jammu.
Ad. Secretary J&K Academy of Arts Culture and Language Jammu Savita Bakshi was the Chief Guest on the occasion Padamshree Sumitra Guha a well known classical singer mesmerized the audience with her presentation.
She was accompanied by Sarit Das on table, Sh. Bua Ditta ji on Harmonium and Abid Hussain on Sarangi. Abhay Rustam Sopori, Santoor Maestro and composer highlighted the aims, objectives and purpose of the festival and also appreciated the efforts of management and students for arranging and promoting such concerts which would inculcate the traditional values among students.
Sanjeev Gupta, Managing Director JKMS, Rajni Gupta Director academics honoured the chief guests and other dignitaries with a bouquet and memento in recognition of their tremendous contribution.
Principal M.L. Vaid presented vote of thanks. Vice Principal Geeta Dixit was also present. |
