| Literary meet on 'Munshi Premchand' held at GCW Parade | | | JAMMU, Feb 2: The Department of Hindi of Government College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu organized a literary meet to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand, the all time great Hindu novelist and short story writer. Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Bakshi was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dr. Sanjana Koul, Associate Professor of Hindi presented paper on "Premchand aur Godan".
Dr Kiran Bakshi, in her address paid tributes to Munshi Premchanda as a great figure in the arena of Hindi literature. She also impressed upon the students to study his writings with an intellectual bent of mind to visualize the depth hidden in his write as his work are relevant in the present 21 Century also.
