| Sheep and wool workers hold dharna | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 2: All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers Association organized one day dharna/ demonstration today in front of Directorate Sheep Husbandry Department Complex Panama Chowk Jammu.
Hundreds of Sheep Husbandry Employees from all the District of Jammu Province participated in the Dharna and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While addressing the protesting employees rally Mohd Gafoor Dar state president of the association urged upon the Govt. to sanction hard duty allowance in favour of Para Vety Staff of Sheep husbandry Department who have to work around the clock in Farms, Feeding Centers and Migratory projects.
Dar said that despite assurance from the authorities of the Department on several occasions nothing has come out practically till date.
Dar further said that either the Govt. should sanction hard duty allowance or fix duty hours & otherwise the employees will be left with no alternative except to intensify agitation. Other prominent association activities who addressed the dharna were serve Bharat Bhushan Bhatti, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Mohd Rafiq Malik, Mager Singh, Hem Raj Thakur, Mohd Sharief D.N. Daina, Kramat Malik, Badri nath, Beer Singh, Deeraj Sharma, Sham-us-din Wani, who also stressed upon the authorities to settle the below noted demands at an earliest. |
