| HESK initiates process for a world class University in Valley | | | JAMMU | JAN 16 Hindu education society, Kashmir (HESK) has welcomed the idea of creating an intellectual space in the valley by setting up a world class KP Minority Community University of excellence in the valley. The oldest organisation of educational institutions of the state has decided to operate as a focal point for accomplishment of this noble objective, which will be a stepping-stone for the displaced community to return to their roots, as it is through such a places of learning that the messages of brotherhood, unity and tolerance are communicated purposefully. The society, has decided that Vice-chancellor, Jammu University Amitabh Mattoo being profounder of this Idea shall be patron for its implementation. The HESK has also committed itself to an initial contribution of Rs. 20 lakhs for this purpose. The proposal for setting up of world-class university of excellence in the valley encompasses that the governance both at state and central levels shall be facilitator for its implementation. KP Community institutions both religions and others are also proposed to be involved in implementation of the project.
