| JMC continues anti-encroachment drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 2 : Under instructions of S C. Sawhney Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, the Enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer while further continuing and intensifying the anti encroachment drive within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation removed the encroachments by demolishing the walls raised by encroaching upon part of lanes at Sidhara and at Bharat Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
The team also demolished the ramps raised by the shopkeepers by encroaching upon the part of road sides at Bakshi Nagar & Paloura, Jammu. Besides this, the team also cleared the footpaths / pavements and part of road sides from the areas of Bakshi Nagar, Sarwal, Paloura, Janipur, Rehari Colony, Roop Nagar etc. During the drive the materials / goods / articles like Counters, chairs, beds, stairs, crates, sign boards, jars, weighing scales, iron Pans etc placed by the shopkeepers / vendors by encroaching upon footpaths / pavements and part of road sides etc were seized.
The said anti encroachment drive has been conducted with the help and co-ordination of Police Force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
