JAMMU, Feb 2: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma has called for a well-knit strategy to make the forth coming National Pulse Polio Campaign in Jammu and Kashmir a success.
Speaking at a one-day workshop organized by the department of family welfare at Nagrota, near here today, the Minister stressed on launching a massive awareness campaign through print, electronic media and other effective mediums to educate the masses so that all children in the target group could be covered. He emphasized the need for close coordination between different agencies for achieving better results.
The Minister said that focus should be given on the vulnerable areas, like slums, railways stations, bus stops, factories, work places, brick kilns and volunteers should motivate people to ensure vaccination to the children as their doorsteps.
