| KSY launches orientation course for adolescent Girls | | | Sunderbani | Jan 16 Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) was launched in ICDS Project Sunderbani by organizing 6 days orientations / training courses for 30 Adolescent Girls of the age group of 11-15 years. The purpose of the scheme is to engage adolescent school dropouts in different curricular activities. During the period girls would be made aware about, situation and status of women, Adolescent – a stage of Mental, Emotional, and Psychological change, Need to break the inter generational life cycle of nutritional and gender disadvantage and providing a supportive for self – development, Health and Nutritional care of children, adolescent pregnant and Nursing Mother, effects of Anemia, Mal Nutrition, Worm infestation, Deficiency of Calcium etc., Preventation of emerging Endemic Diseases among children – Jaundice Hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Dengue fever, Care of personal hygiene, Early marriage and early pregnancy – risk and damages for safe motherhood, Family Welfare and Child Care – Method and techniques, Pre natal and post – natal care of a pregnant. Non formal education to improve literacy and numeracy skills of adolescent. The participants will be provided conveyance charges @ Rs. 10 per day, Refreshment Charges @ Rs. 15 per day, printing material etc. The camp will followed by one day Refresher course after one month. Three similar camps will be organized in a year for the same duration. The govt. has allocated an amount of Rs. 110000/- in ICDS Project Sunderbani out of which an amount of Rs. 54000/- has already been released for launching the scheme.
