| Local leaders ask Taj to refrain from using 'concocted and baseless' statements | | New twist in Taj-Vakil Row | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 2: The ongoing row between Taj-Vakil took a new twist when the local leaders including some Block Presidents of Congress asked the Minister for PHE Taj Mohi-ud-Din to issue fake and fabricated press statement on behelf of Block Presidents of various blocks and termed the statement issued through a news agency baseless concocted and without taking their views on the issue.
Block presidents of Baramulla, Kupwara, Budgam, Pulwama, Ganderbal, Sonawari, Rañabad, Handwara, Pattan today in a joint statement expressed surprise over their statement issued by one news agency KNS without confirming us for demanding expulsion of Senior Congress leader Abdul Gani Vakil. "The statement issued is baseless concocted and without taking our views on the issue, they stated.
The joint statement issued today alleged that views are concocted and fabricated and are being made published by Minister for PHE Irrigation and Flood Control to score his personal points against Abdul Gani Vakil. The signatories of the statement stated they have already communicated Smt Sonia Gandhi Congress President and Rahul Gandhi General Secretary AICC about such types of activities maligning and mud slinging of Taj Mohi-ud-Din for a leader who has devoted his four decade to the service of the party whereas Taj Mohi ud-Din is in the party only from the last 10 years and also has faced suspension in 1998 for working against official candidate.
They appealed Taj Mohi-ud-Din don't get press statement fabricated at his residence and restrain from doing the same in future otherwise they will be forced to go in a court of law for issuing false statements to tilt balance in hi favour.
PCC General Secretary Dr Abdul Ahad Yatoo and others in a statement also appealed PCC President to direct Taj not to indulge in such activities and statements should released through two spokespersons appointed by PCC Chief himself as activities of Taj Mohi-ud-Din will damage the image of the party.
Dr Yatoo who also had a meeting moved a resolution demanding removal of Minister for PHE who allegedly is shielding the corrupt officials in his department reasons well known to minister only. The meeting was attended by Senior block presidents namely Ghulam Rasool Wani Langate,Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan Rañabad, Altaf Ahmad Malik Rohama,Ghulam Ahmad Lone Chararisharief,Master Ghulam Hassan Handwara, Ghulam Mohdin Sumbal, Shiekh Manzoor Ahmad Sangarama, Ghulam Hassan Wani Srinagar, Abdul Rahim Wani Sogam,Ghulam Hsaan Dar Adv (Hajan), Ghulam Mohammad Dar Nasrullahpora Budgam, Ghulam Ahmad Reshi Kunzer, Ghulam Nabi Patel Pulwama, Khalid Maqbool Dar Shangus, Haji Ghulam Rasoo1Anantnag and many others. |
