Kathua, Feb 3: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders flayed the coalition regime for its failure to provide basic amenities to the residents of Kathua town and across the state togather. General Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thakur Balbir Singh while addressing a public meeting flayed the coalition regime for its failure to provide basic amenities to the residents of Kathua town. Addressing series of public meetings in Kathua town in connection with the scheduled visit of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the town next week, Thakur Balbir Singh expressed his concern over deplorable conditions of streets and roads in the town. He said that during the last three years present regime has done nothing for the betterment of the people. Lambasting present National Conference led coalition regime for its indifferent attitude towards emergent problems being faced by the masses, he asserted that party would rigorously take up the issues relating to the public. PDP leaders further asserted that besides effectively highlighting day today problems of the masses, the party would continue to strive for the establishing sustainable peace in this region- through peaceful and democratic manners. They said that people were fed up with the mis-governance of the present regime and they want to get rid of this anti-people regime and added the present regime has rather compounded woes of the commoners through misdeeds and non-governance. They asserted that being the main opposition party, PDP would not allow to the government to remain indifferent towards such emergent issues and thus party has decided to awaken this regime from the deep slumber. |
