After 28 days Newspaper hit on stalls in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar , Feb 3 : Due to continuous road blockade and uncertainty about the availability of vehicular movement on Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway, the newspaper seller in Kishtwar District suffered a major loss as the copies of various newspaper fails to reach Kishtwar. According to the owner of prominent newspaper seller agency "Ajeet News Agency" it was after 5th of January 2012, that the copies of any newspaper reach Kishtwar. He said that due to bad weather and delayed in arrival of buses at Kishtwar, the circulation/sale of various newspapers suffered badly in last one month. They said that even after 28 days since the first snowfall witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir, only copies of few newspaper reach Kishtwar. He said that as soon as they open the bundles of newspapers, large number of people turned up at his shop for purchasing the newspapers. Most of the newspaper readers said that due to non availability of newspaper in Kishtwar, they shifted themselves to internet version of the newspaper to remain updated, but said that reading printed version of newspaper gives a different taste of reading as compared to that of internet version. They hoped that with the improvement in weather condition, the newspaper service will be fully restored in coming days. |
