| Civil Defence organizes 5-day basic defence training at Darhal | | | Early TImes Report
RAJOURI, Feb 3: Civil Defence Rajouri organized 5-day basic civil defence training at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Darhal. About 315 students and staff members drawn from different government and private educational institutions of Darhal participated.
In the inauguration function, Principal of the school, Mr. Ghulam Rasool Kar was the chief guest.
In his address, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Rajouri, Mr. Suresh Kumar Chib threw light on the aims, objectives and role of civil defence. He also laid thrust upon the participants to serve the society by joining civil defence and also gave knowledge regarding different services of civil defence.
In the 5-day training programme, Civil Defence Instructors shall trained the participants in the field of first aid, fire fighting, search and rescue, also demonstrate the rescue equipments used in different types of disaster.
In his address, the Principal highlighted the importance of civil defence and said that every individual must attain the civil defence training. He also thanks the Civil Defence organization for organizing such a important and valuable training in Darhal Tehsil. He said that the area of Darhal is prone to different kinds of disasters and training of such kind is very useful for the participants.
Among others who were present on the occasion include S/Sh. Swarn Singh, Jasbir Singh, Jagdish Lal, Zaffer Iqbal (Civil Defence Instructors) and faculty members of the school. |
