| Man held with fake gun licences at Poonch | | | Amit Sharma
Rajouri , Feb 3: Police today arrested a man from Potha in Surankote, Poonch, allegedly along with over a dozen fake gun licences and some passports.
Sources said that Surankot police raided the house of Fareed Ahmed, son Abdul Majid, at Potha and recovered 13 fake gun licences, 10 state subjects, three passports and a machine used for making rubber stamps. Fareed was allegedly preparing fake rubber stamps of senior officials of Poonch district, including SDM, tehsildar, deputy commissioner and passport officer.
He had allegedly been charging huge money from people for making fake gun licences and passports, the sources added. The Surankote police had lodged FIR against him. Some more arrests were expected in the case. |
