| Former militants' group hail Omar for awarding ex-militants | | |

Srinagar, Feb 3: President All Jammu and Kashmir Ex-militants Welfare Association Farooq Ahmad Khan on Thursday hailed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for conferring state awards to former colleagues on January 26.
"The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led government alongside rehabilitating the ex- militants has also started to confer awards to them and it shows his greatness to restore basic rights of the ex-militants."
Khan, according to the statement, also expressed hope that chief minister will also recognize and promote ex-militants working in other fields. He also appealed the Chief Minister to play active role in complete rehabilitation of the ex-militants and prioritize efforts to mitigate the problems facing them, the statement added. |
