| MLA distributes cheques worth rupees 3.65 lacs under NRSC | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR , Feb : MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today distributed cheques worth rupees 3.65 lacs among the 135 family members @Rs 2700 each in four Panchayats of Kishtwar Block under National Rural Sanitation Scheme (NRSS).
MLA Kishtwar handed over the cheques to those families who constructed Toilets and bathrooms as per the scheme.
While addressing the people, MLA Kishtwar said that the aim and object of National Rural Sanitation scheme is to raise awareness among the rural populace about the benefits of sanitation.
He said that cleanliness is consider next to God and urged up on the people to maintain cleanness around their homes as well as within the locality. He said that government under NRSS provides an amount of Rs 2700 to each family in rural areas who constructed toilet facility at home.
He said that after successful implementation of scheme in four Panchayats of Kishtwar block, more Panchayat and villages will be bring into the ambit of NRSS. He urged upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of NRSS. He said that total implementation of NRSS in rural areas on one hand side will help in maintain the cleanness and on the other hand side will also play an important role in controlling the spread of water born diseases. Kichloo also hailed the role off RDD officials in successful implementation of the scheme.
Sarpanch Mushtaq Ahmed, Sarpanch Khurshid Malik, Sarpanch Narayan Das, Sarpanch Satish Kumar and large number of people were also present. |
