Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee holds meet

JAMMU, Feb 4 : District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu organised the press conference in the Premises of DGPC office, Chand Nagar, Jammu.
While addressing the media Persons S.Mohinder Singh Retd Session & District Judge and president OGPC, Jammu said that a deputation of OGPC members Jammu including S. Taranjit Singh Toni, $, Ramnik Singh Sijral, Col. G.S Babbar, S.Narbir Singh S.Ajitpal Singh S.Mohinder Singh, S. Sukhjit Singh, S. Manmohan Singh, S.Surinder Singh Bunty and S.Paramjit Singh President AISSF and Kulwant Singh called on Raman Bhalla , at civil secretariat Jammu to implement the Hon'ble High Court direction in a writ petition No. 684/1 dated 2002 for redressal of the problems of Refugees of 1947 POK.
The other demand discussed in the meeting were to grant Ownership rights on the EP allotted Houses to displaced persons , to handover the possession of the land from 10cClI tillers to displaced persons , fuifillment of land deficiency to displacement persons , payment of compensation of the property left the behind in POK in 1947 partition , compensation of land deficiency Rs 1.50 Lac to those who had not filled form.
The Revenue Secretary, special secretary Revenue and Custodian Jammu were also present in the meeting .
The Revenue minister listened the deputations' and issued on spot instruction for fulfilling the demands presented before him. He further said that a proposal of compensation of Rs 15 Lac per family of the Refugee and reservation in technical colleges outside the state i.e. Medical, Engineering and computer training on pattern of Kashmiri migrants has been submitted to the union Govt of India.
He said that 700 land deficiency cases has been verified and no one has come to get their compensation of Rs 1.50 Lac which is line pending in this office. The president OGPC has appealed the refugees to reach in PRO office Jammu and get their land deficiency compensation. He further appealed refugees to approach PRO office Jammu and deputy commissioner and apply to restore their possession on allotted land against tillers.
