| Six days training course for adolescent girls concluded | | | KATHUA, Feb 4: Six days training programme for adolescent girls (sakhi/Sahali) in the age group of 11 to 18 years schooldrop was organized by Child Development Project Officer, Barnoti at Village Ninalpur concluded here today.
A batch of 30 girls from different anganwadi centres got training on personal Hygiene, Balance diet, Immunization, anemia, knowledge of Vitamin and protein giving food HIV-Aids early marriage risk. During the training, expert guest speakers including school teachers, Medical staff, Block medical officer Parole and advocate delivered lectures on importance of education. Lectures related to health related issues domestic violence and crime against women were also delivered. Health services, weight and height measurement, provision of iron and folic acid tablets were made available to them. CDPO Barnoti apprised that 3000 school dropout girls getting supplementary Nutrition through ICDS anganwadi Centers and soon all these girls shall be covered for vocational training also.
Among others, sarpanch, panches and aganwadi workers were also attended the training programme. |
