Jammu, Feb 4: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Jammu and Kashmir a joint conglomerate of different employees' organizations today staged provincial level protest dharna outside Divisional Commissioner office Jammu in support of their demands.
The EJAC leaders assembled in front of Divisional Commissioner Office and staged protest dharna.
They were raising slogans against the State Govt and in support of their demands.
Hundreds of employees of various Jammu and Kashmir Departments today suspended work and staged protest in this winter capital demanding implementation and release of arrears under Sixth Pay Commission.
Senior EJAC leaders Subhash Verma, Suresh Sharma, Sushil Sudan, Mohd Farooq, Bushan S Verma, Mohd Iqbla, Suman Sharma, Prem Singh Bawa, Koushal Kumari, Zaffar Ullah, Sawaran Singh, Ashok Singh, Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Romesh Khajuria, Sanjay Abrol, Vinod Sharma and K C Dubey led the protestors.
Raising anti-government slogans, employees under the banner of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) this afternoon demonstrated outside the office of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu demanding consideration of their pending demands as earliest.
The protesting EJAC leaders reiterated their demands included arrears of 6th pay commission may be paid in cash in two installments, regularization of Daily Wagers in all departments especially in PDD engaged after 01-01-1994, pay anomalies of different cadres of clerks, Police, RDD, Fisheries and other Field workers be removed. Protesting employees also demanded regularization of all Adhoc, Contractual and Daily wagers, medi-claim policy for employees to be reconsidered.
Similar protests were also held at Srinagar and Ladakh. |
