| Bail denied to accused in abduction, sexual assault on widow | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 4: Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Jatinder Singh Jamwal has denied bail to Gammi who was allegedly involved in abducting a widow and sexually assaulting her.
Originally a resient of Kalyanpur in Gurdaspur, Punjab, he was putting up at Vijaypur when the alleged incident took place.
Rejecting the bail, the CJM observed that the allegations, as projected in the case, could hardly be over emphasised. The allegations pertained to abduction and sexual assault on a widow.
The judge said the accused in the case did not deserve concession of bail, particularly when the investigation was at initial stage and the other accused was yet to be arrested.
With these observations, the court rejected the bail application.
