Revenue officials and others booked by Crime Branch Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 4: Crime Branch Jammu has registered the then Tehsildar Jammu and Rajinder Kumar, the then Patwari Halqa Domana for hatching a criminal conspiracy for issuing the Fard-e-Intakhab of the land acquired u/s 4 and 8 of Agrarian Reforms Act which as per law couldn't be issued. Brief facts of the case are that on receipt of an information through a reliable source, an enquiry was initiated in Crime Branch, Jammu to the effect that one Jagdev Singh S/o Janak Singh R/o Raipur, Domana and others were in possession of land under Khasra No. 500 and 525 at village Raipur, Domana. "The said land was acquired/ mutated in their favour vide Mutation No. 1677 under section 8 of Agrarian Reforms Act and then Jagdev Singh and others applied for issuance of Fard-e-Intakhab of the said land in their favour which was illegally issued to them by the revenue officials and based on this revenue document the land in question was subsequently sold. In this way, the Revenue officials by abusing their official position facilitated the illegal sale of 40 kanals of land obviously for certain extraneous reasons. Investigation of the case is in progress. Crime Branch spokesperson said that a case u/s 420,465,467,468,471,120-B RPC r/w Section 5(2) PC Act Svt.2006 against Jagdev Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Shivdev Singh & Jaidev Singh sons of Janak Singh R/o Village Kaink Tehsil and District Jammu and S.S. Chib, the then Tehsildar Jammu and Rajinder Kumar, the then Patwari Halqa Domana for hatching a criminal conspiracy for issuing the Fard-e-Intakhab of the land acquired u/s 4 and 8 of Agrarian Reforms Act. |
