| Digiana Residents, PDP stage protest | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5 : The residents and shopkeepers of Ward No 58 Digiana today staged a protest against the Public Health Engineering for the leakage of water pipes in their locality. The residents gathered in front of Industrial Estate Digiana and staged a demonstration there.
While staging protest the residents raised slogans against the department. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, a local resident said that they have taken the matter to the higher authorities but only assurances were given to them. The residents also raised slogans against the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for the improper sanitation condition of the area.
Whereas, the activists of People Democratic Party PDP also staged a protest demonstration at Bakshi Nagar against Power Development Department and PHE for unscheduled power cuts in Jammu West and for price hike in PHE.
While addressing the activists, Puneet Jamwal criticized this hike and termed it as anti people decision which will directly affect the budget of common man in J&K which is already facing price spiral from the last many months. |
