JAMMU, Feb 5 : On the Amphalla - Janipur Road , Sarwal , Rehari - Newplot roads Large number of residents, traders, people and the prominent citizens assembled joined the protest and passed “resolutions” took firmed decision against the wrong policies of PHE as they can not afford and avail to pay so much water tariff as the rising prices have already broken the back bone of the common man. The people have decided and declared that they will not pay the water rent to the Government, unless the Government takes appropriate decision.
Addressing the protestants Sunil Dimple president Jammu west assembly movement strongly criticized the PHE regulatory commission for increasing the water rent tariff, installation of the Meters on the water Taps.
He said that the water to the people of Jammu and Kashmir state should be provided totally “free of cost” and there should be no water rent. As the state has rich resources of water and our water is going free of cost to our neighboring countries and we charging huge rent from our own people.
Sunil Dimple alleged Omar Abdulla and said it is violation of the human rights, “Manav Adhikar Ka Ulangan Hai”. This is the “murder of the democracy”.
Dimple asked the PHE minister to clear the rent policy as people can not pay so much rent to the govt.
He appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdulla For the intervention and rolls back the increased water Rent.
The meeting was also addressed by Sham Saroop.
