Srinagar, Feb 5 : Ahead of the Budget Session scheduled to start from February 23, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Akbar Lone has called an All Party Meeting on February 19. Sources told KNS during the meeting has suggestions will be sought from the representatives of all the parties to run the session smoothly. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Chief Whip of National Conference, Mubarak Gul, Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti and PDP Chief Whip, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, BJP Leader, Chaman Lal Gupta are expected to participate in the meeting. Meanwhile, 1090 questions and 23 private member bills have been received by the Assembly Secretariat.
The session is expected to be a stormy one as opposition will try to corner the government on several issues. |
