Audition of Shree Chandi Mata Bhajan contest held

JAMMU , Feb 5 :The audition of Shree Chandi Mata Bhajan Competition, first of its kind in Jammu & Kashmirwas held at K.L. Sehgal Hall (Abhinav Theatre) here today. 70 contestants who got their names registered with the Trust performed their talents before a team of judges consisting Yash Pal Yash, Surinder Manhas and Prof Suraj Singh. A large number of audiences were also present. On this occasion music was played by Bunty & Co and Parveen Sharma of J&K Channel functioned as anchor. Out of 70 contestants 65 were selected to perform their talents in the first round of the competition being held on 26th Februay, 2012 at Mahajan Hall, Shalamar Road, Jammu. Spokesperson said the Trust has chalked out their programme to hold six rounds of the said competition on 26th February, 18th March, 25th March, 08th April, 22nd April and the grand finale on 29th April. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 51,000/-,31,000/- & 21 ,000/-respectively besides six consolidated prizes of Rs. 2100/- and five consolidated prizes of Rs. 1100/- for runners up. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of the Trust Bansi Lal Gupta said that the main aim of the Trust behind this competition was to give a boost to the hidden talents of the budding singers.
Among other members of the Trust who were present in this meeting S C Sahni, KD. Sharma, S P Sud, Ravish Jain, Som Dutt Tak, SP Sethi, Abinash Gupta, Harish Kaila, Yash Blouria, Kuldeep (Dr. Dang), Mohit Gupta, Shiv Sharma, Madhu Kapoor, Indu Anand, Mamta and others were present.
