| NC believes in only vote bank politics....? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 5: NC has done it again and proved that it is an undeclared policy of the party not to care and bother for the communities who do not form their vote bank or matter to them politically. Unfortunately it is the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who is doing it himself again and again. Last year it was the function of the Youth body one particular community that doesn't matter as a vote bank to NC and today it were the followers of Guru Ravi Dass ji who wanted Chief Minister to grace the occasion as chief guest. The only difference in the two functions in the context of CM staying away is that last time the hopes of teh organsiers were dashed at the last moment even after security clearance and all arrangements for him in place, in today's function the organizers were informed a little advance with some replacements from within the Party. Both SS Salathia and Devinder Singh Rana may be leaders of the Party but surely they cannot substitute the chair of Chief Minister. When people invite CM as the chief guest there are certainly some hopes and expectations associated with this offer, which is hwy the organisers today, rightly so have declined the offer of Salathia or Rana representing CM. The anger and annoyance of the community who were disappointed by CM staying away from the function, for whatever reasons, may not matter for NC as a party but it certainly affects the image and exposes the vote bank politics of the party. |
