| PHE workers criticize 'govt, officials for ignoring their demands | | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 6: Executive Members of PHE Workers Welfare Association, Jammu Province held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of Th Bakshi Singh Provincial President of the Association to discuss various problems being faced by the Employees and Workers of the Department. During the deliberations the participating members criticized the higher authorities of department and the unlawful attitude adopted by them. They also criticized anti-labour, anti-employees and anti peoples policies of State Government. Highlighting the miseries of daily rated workers, the members said that these poor workers have not received the wages from last 6 -8 months. Other demands highlighted during meeting included Disbursement of Wages to all the daily wagers @ Rs. 125/- per day; Regularisation of Daily Wages who have completed of 7 years of service; Holding of DPC of regular field staff and etc. Speaking on the occasion Th Bakshi Singh and Subash Verma appealed to workers to assemble at Chief Engineer's Office, B. C Raod, Jammu on Feb 8 to participate in protest demonstration. Other Prominent Leaders who participated in the meeting were Ram Parkash, Varun Dogra, Surinder Kumar, Manzoor Ali, Ram Labhya, Rattan Dashi and Vijay Singh. |
