EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Feb 6: District Youth Congress (DYC) president and Advocate Imtiaz Ahmed who was absconding in an alleged hit and run case has surrendered before police.
Pertinent to mention here that Imtiaz was evading arrest after his name surfaced in the much publicised road accident which later turned out to be an alleged case of hit-and-run.
In this incident, a 17 year old boy named Tahir Khan son of Mushtaq Khan died while her fiancee Lubna sustained critical injuries.
After this incident, a case was lodged in police station Rajouri under section 302 while hunt for DYC President was initiated right from the first day. However, after remaining absconding for several days, he surrendered in front of police while police got his 10 day remand today after presenting him in the court.
