J&K Gymnast and Aerobic team brings laurels to state | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 6: Jammu and Kashmir team participating in 6th National Championship (2011-12) in group of Gymnastics, Aerodance and Aerobics brought laurels to state by claiming awarded 9 gold medals and one silver medal. The State team also won the over first rank among the participating teams for its performance. Raman Bhalla, the Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, facilitated the participants from Jammu and Kashmir in this championship on their arrival and hoped that these events will flourish further in the state. The said championship was organized by Tamil Nadu Aesthetic Group Gymanstics Association under the aegis of Aesthetic Group Gymanstics Federation of India and was held at Kolatur, Chennai). The teams from Jammu and Kashmir for participated in different events and bagged nine Gold Medals and One Silver. Group Aerobics (Above 16 years) was represented by Suresh Kumar; Mohit Chilotra; Rohit Kumar; Gautam; Gajinder Singh and Deepak Kumar and all these players claimed gold medals. In Trio Aerobics (under 16 years) the team comprising Deepak Kumar; Akash Dogra and Varun Kumar also bagged gold medals. Meanwhile Individual Aerobics (Above 16 years) was represented by Suresh Kumar who claimed Silver medal. In the all around performance Tamil Nadu secured first position, Jammu and Kashmir, 2nd position and Maharashtra secured 3rd position. The J&K team of players was led by Gautam, as Aerobic Coach and as Manager Sunil Kumar. |
