Mukhi holds series of meetings with BJP leaders

JAMMU, Feb 6: BJP state Prabhari Prof Jagdish Mukhi held a series of meetings today during his day long tour of Jammu.In the first meeting of the day, the Core Group comprising BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, National Executive Member Dr Nirmal Singh, National Executive Member & MLA Ashok Khajuria, National Executive Member & Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma (MLA), State Vice-president Chander Prakash Ganga, State General Secretaries Sat Sharma (C.A) and Usha Choudhary held deliberations with Mukhi.
In the core group meeting, strategy for forthcoming Municipal Elections was discussed threadbare. Jagdish Mukhi, while addressing this meeting, said that the party has to gear up for the forthcoming Municipal Elections; rise above the challenges faced by the party in last few months and prove the party's strength. He emphasized on the need to reach out to people. Mukhi also suggested a fixed common date to hold party's district committee meetings on the same day every month so that this ensures regularity and avoids overlap with party's state level or central programmes.
Defining the role of district president, he said the district president is expected to play central role with district prabhari as coordinator or facilitator. Second meeting was attended jointly by State Office Bearers, senior leaders, District and Morcha presidents, MLAs and District Prabharis.
The third meeting took place between four party MLAs and Prof. Jagdish Mukhi in presence of State President Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing the second meeting at party hqrs., said that the forthcoming state assembly session beginning February 23 is going to be very crucial. A number of sensitive issues are going to come up and the party cadre should be prepared for agitational programmes as and when required. He also suggested setting up an independent BJP office of its own at each of the district headquarters and asked the various district presidents to go ahead with the exercise. Manhas also received detailed reporting of party's organizational activities individually for each district separately from each district president and district prabhari and gave his observations about the same.
