| R.M College of Education organizes one day work shop | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 6: R.M College of Education in collaboration with Women Studies Centre, University of Jammu organized one day work shop on "Gender Sensitization- Gender Equality through Curriculum transaction". Khem Lata Wakhloo, Vice Chairperson State Social Welfare Board J&K, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the workshop. The guests were formally welcomed by Principal of the college PK Dhar. The programme was presided over by Dr Poonam Dhawan, Director Life Long Learning University of Jammu while I D Soni Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides was the guest of honour. The resource persons were Dr Madhu Singh, (Principal Khalsa College of Education), Rita Mengi, (RM College of Education) and Prof. Assadullah Wani, Deptt of Urdu, University of Jammu.
The members from Women Studies Centre University of Jammu, Dr. Anu Radha Goswami and Dr. Saranjeet Kour were also present during the workshop. More than 15 colleges of Education, Jammu participated in the workshop.
Chairman of the college Rameshwar Mengi also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the college faculty for conduct of such like programmes for the development of pupil teachers and teacher educators.
Speaking on the occasion, Khem Lata Wakhloo congratulated the management of R.M. College of Education for the quality education being provided by the college. She also stressed on the need to educate the girl child especially in rural areas to vanish the gender inequality. |
