| Active and effective trade, economical activities to help eradication of unemployment: Azad | | | JAMMU|JAN 17 At an unveiling function of Chevrolet UVA today at Jammu organised by GM and KC Motors, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed his satisfaction that motor associated establishments are booming in the state and providing effective services to the people. He said that the thrust of his government is to encourage all those private establishments which are employment-oriented. He was happy to know that one thousand employees are working in present establishments at Jammu. On this occasion, Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Minister for Agriculture Mr. Abdul Aziz Zargar, Member Parliament Ch. Lal Singh, Chief Justice Himachal Pradesh Mr. Justice V. K. Gupta, Chairman J&K Bank Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Goswami, Vice President GM Mr. Ankush Arora, Managing Director KC Motors Mr. Raju Mahajan besides other prominent citizens and dignitaries were present at the function. Chief Minister said that with the introduction of varied and modern motor brands in the state, it is also necessary to give full attention for increasing road-worthiness. He said transport and road connectivity are inter-linked with each other. He said that his government has given utmost priority to the road sector not only in urban areas but steps have been taken to inter-link far-flung areas also with national highways. Chief Minister said that our state is ideal for all kinds of trade and commerce particularly for information technology. He said that non-polluted atmosphere of Kashmir was considered by experts as the ideal place for establishment of information technology infrastructure but unfortunately start of militancy in 1990 proved very unlucky for the people of Kashmir and instead of the valley, Bangalore and Hyderabad became hub of information technology activities otherwise the state would have been at present world leader in information technology. Chief Minister advised industrialists and private sector establishments to work hard to strengthen private sector to this extent so that it is able to absorb all unemployed youth comfortably. He believed that future of the state is very bright and it has inherent potential to become central point of trade, commerce and other economic activities. He said era of development has already started and time has come to gear up for all kinds of trade and commerce activities so that what has been lost in this sector during last 17 years is regained fast. On the occasion, mementos were presented to Chief Minister, Minister for Health and Medical Education and Agriculture Minister.
