| Five days basic Civil Defence Training inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 7 : Civil Defence Rajouri organised five days basic civil defence training in Govt. Hr.Sec. School Doongi. About 130 students and staff members of the school participated in the training. Nagesh Sharma principal of the school was the chief guest on the occasion. In inaugural speech K.K. Langer chief warden threw light on the history, aim and objectives of civil defence.
He also highlights the importance of civil defence training in day to day life. Suresh Kumar Chib Dy.SP Dy. Controller Civil defence Rajouri delivered lecture on disaster, its types and impact on human life. He also added that the first hour of any types of disaster is very crucial and during this time human life can be saved by providing necessary assistance to the victims and a person trained in civil defence training can handle the victim efficiently. Amit Choudhary C D instructor delivered the lecture on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and also gave practical knowledge to the participants. During the five days training participants shall trained in the area of first-aid, fire fighting, search and rescue etc. The rescue equipments used in different types of disaster were also demonstrated to the participants. Among others who were present on the occasion are vice principal, staff members, C.D instructors and students. |
