| J&K Volleyball team leaves for Kolkata | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5: The Jammu and Kashmir state volleyball team today left for participation in the 14th Youth National Volleyball Championship to be held at Kolkata in West Bengal from February seven to February 13.
Before the departure of the team, the players were introduced with the Minister for Youth Services and Sports, RS Chib on the sidelines of a function at Indoor Complex.
The minister wished the team success in the championship. J&K shall play with West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh in group-A in league round of the tournament.
The Team: Irfan Ahmad Wani, Ishfaq Bashir, Mohd Yasir Mir (all Baramulla), Naseeb Singh, Ishtiaq Ahmed (both Ramban), Deepak Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Rekaran Dass, Raj Kumar (all Samba), Puneet Sharma (Kathua), Sahil Jamwal (Udhampur) and Manoj Kumar (Jammu). Abdul Ahad Shah is accompanying the team as manager, while Muneer Alam and Subash Kumar Shastri as coaches. |
