MCC-A Reasi scripts resounding win over Kalika Club | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 7: Muslim Cricket Club (MCC)-A thrashed Kalika Cricket Club (KCC) Reasi easily by 9 wickets to move into the next round of the ongoing Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament 2012, being organised by Reasi Cricket Club in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) at Sports Stadium, Reasi. Earlier, batting first, KCC Reasi managed to score 114 for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Arun Verma and Neeraj Kaiser scored 18 runs each, while Rakesh and Anil Sharma chipped in with 13 and 11 runs respectively. Extras also contributed 18 runs to the total. Rohit took 3 wickets for MCC-A, while Sahil Bhalwal and Altaf claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, MCC Reasi rode on superb knocks by Sahil Bhalwal (42*), Parveen Singh (31*) and Sunny Malik (33) chased the target in 10.5 overs by losing only one wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. For Kalika Club, Rashpal took the lone wicket to fell. Sahil Bhalwal of MCC-A was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance. The match was officiated by Shankar, Lilly and Muzaffar, while the tournament is being held under the supervision of Vikas Baru, Nadeem Bhat and Vikas Sharma. |
