| Floriculture for better living: Chowdhary assures support | | | JAMMU|JAN 17
In view of demand of flowers at state level in general and city of temples Jammu particularly throughout the year, Horticulture Commissioner, Government of India Dr. K.L. Chowdhary has asked the Department of Floriculture to formulate project proposals under technology mission programme to give boost to the flower production industry. Mr. Chowdhary has further advised to register more progressive growers from all the three regions of the state under Area Expansion Programme of technology mission. The Commissioner has assured the state floriculture department that with the submission of concrete and detailed project proposals, more funds could be made available to the department. He said by this activity, the economic condition of progressive farmers would improve and objective of technology mission would be achieved.
