| Chaman Lal Gupta dedicates tubewell to public | | | | JAMMU, Feb 7: MLA Jammu West, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, dedicated a tube well to the people of his constituency at ward number 12. The tube well was laying defunct (dry) for the last 2 years inside the premises of Abhinav Theatre. PHE department has spent Rs 50 lakh for reboring of the tube well. A large number of locals especially women were present at the occasion. Dedicating the tube well in the service of people, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta said that with the functioning of the tube well, the severe shortage of the water supply will come to an end in the areas adjoining Krishna Nagar and Canal road. "When I was informed of the situation and the difficulties people have to face due to the non-functioning of the tube well, I took the matter with senior authorities at the concerned department and got the proper allocation of funds for the project," he said. |
