| Youth Cong leaders call on Azad | | | Jammu |Jan 17
Youth Congress leaders including provincial, district and block presidents, secretaries and prominent activists of all the three regions of the state called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here on Tuesday and apprised him about various development-oriented demands and problems of the people.
The deputationists led by State Youth Congress President Mr. Mohammad Amin Bhat hailed the historic and bold steps taken by Chief Minister for peace and fast development of Jammu and Kashmir. They also appreciated the innovative decisions taken by Mr. Azad for giving proprietary rights to the farmers under Roshni scheme, adding that creation of 8 new districts, 3 sub-divisions and 13 tehsils would also give fillip to overall development of people. They said that steps taken by Mr. Azad for eradication of corruption are also appreciable.
They assured their whole-hearted support to Chief Minister for achieving the goal of Khushal Jammu and Kashmir.
The demands putforth by them included implementation of Minimum Wages Act and promotion of tourism in all areas of the state.
Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and said that the demands would be looked into.
