Members expressed their grave concern about the working of such jobs which are not attended properly and are not time bound and without consultations with the public concerned. Only few months back a Nallah was repaired in Kanak Mandi near City Chowk which took more time than the scheduled duration causing great difficulties to the general public and the trading community wherein Kanak Mandi area in particular suffered losses of crores of rupees and the business remained totally paralysed. Now again the government agency working for the sewerage system of the city has put the main busy City Chowk under digging for sewerage system. Past one month has gone but the small piece of job is not completed yet which has blocked all the routes through this busy City Chowk and is creating lot of inconvenience to the general public with regard to their movement as well as vehicular movement causing again great loss to the business community particularly in the marriage season. Office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry unanimously opined that the Government / Agencies concerned with the repair of this busiest area of the city i.e City Chowk should be set right for the Traffic and pedestrians at the earliest even if they have to undertake this job during night hours. |
