Police arrests 'kidnapper' in Kreeri

Srinagar, Feb 7 : Police on Tuesday arrested a person who had allegedly kidnapped a lady in Kreeri area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district. According to a police press release Police Station Keeri received a written complaint from one Mohammad Shafi Chopan of Watergam that her wife namely Razia (name changed) has been kidnapped by one Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohammad of Wagil.
"On this complaint case FIR No. 07/2012 U/S 366 RPC registered and investigation was set in motion. A special team under the supervision of SHO PS Keeri, Showkat Ahmad was constituted and a hunt for the recovery of the lady was launched in the area. Due to the strenuous efforts of police party the kidnapped lady was recovered from Tapper within three hours after receipt of complaint and alleged abductor has been arrested," it added. Investigations into the case are going on.
