NPSU demands suspension of JKBOSE chairman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 7: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) has demanded immediate suspension of Chairman, JK Board of School Education (BOSE) who was directly involved in unfair means to pass the son of Peerzada Mohammad Syed, Education Minister in Secondary School Examination. Addressing media persons at Jammu University, Varinder Singh, President NPSU Jammu University demanded immediate resignation of Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Sheikh Bashir Ahmed because he had helped the son of Peerzada and is the real culprit. Varinder alleged that JK BOSE chairman is the main culprit and should be brought to Justice as soon as possible so that the faith of general public in the system must remain. He further alleged that Chairman had brought disgrace to the chair and misused his position to help the son of Peerzada's son to qualify the matriculation examination in 2009. Thakur said that the whole matter was conducted in connivance with Chairman JKBOSE, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and demanded that he should be removed from the post forthwith. NPSU leader further alleged that chairman, who had committed several frauds during his tenure as Secretary of the Board should be removed as soon as possible and government should hold a thorough probe into the irregularities committed by him during his tenure as Secretary. Singh further pointed out the JKBOSE Chairman, who had joined the Board in 2004 on deputation basis, is still posted in the office in utter violation of service rules as no official can serve any office more than three years and the government should take cognizance of it. NPSU leaders have given three days ultimatum and warned that if the government fails to take action against Education Minister and Chairman BOSE, they would launch protest level demonstrations. He further demanded that tainted ministers should immediately be dropped from the cabinet.
