| JWAM delegation calls on comm JMC, raises several demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 7: A delegation led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today met Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Jammu, Satish Chander Sawhney. The delegation submitted a memorandum to the state government through the JMC Commissioner and held half an hour long meeting with the latter. Speaking on the occasion Dimple demanded that steps should be taken to make Jammu a "model capital city". He apprised the Commissioner problems being faced by the people of winter capital Jammu city in general and by the traders community in particular. JWAM leader expressed his resentment over the alleged discrimination in allocation of funds for Jammu region. Sunil Dimple demanded announcement of a "special financial package" for the "drainage and sewerage system" of Jammu city JMC Commissioner S C Sawhney gave patient hearing to the grievances raised by Dimple. Sawhney passed immediate direction to the officers of the JMC to resolve public grievances. |
