MCC-A Reasi drubs ACC Udhampur by 64 runs, enters QF | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 8: Muslim Cricket Club (MCC)-A Reasi thrashed ACC Udhampur by 64 runs in the ongoing Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Cricket Club in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police at Sports Stadium, Reasi. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, MCC-A scored a decent total of 180 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Shabaz was the top scorer with unbeaten 45 runs, while Sahil Bhalwal scored valuable 34 runs. Amit and Altaf Malik chipped in with 16 and 12 runs respectively. Extras contributed 18 runs to the total. For ACC Udhampur, Sachin and Harish captured 2 wickets each, while Parul and Nipun claimed one wicket each. ACC, in reply, bundled out for a paltry total of 116 runs in 18 overs, thus lost the match by 64 runs. Tinku was highest scorer with 45 runs, while Ritesh made 15 runs. Extras contributed 19 runs to the meagre total. Altaf Malik scalped 2 wickets for MCC-A, while Rahil Singh, Sahil Bhalwal, Rohit Sharma, Shabaz and Sunny Malik claimed one wicket apiece. Shabaz of MCC-A was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant batting display. The match was officiated by Nitin and Lilly as umpires, while Sajad Manhas maintained the scorebook. The tournament is being held under the supervision of Nadeem Bhat, Vikas Baru and Vikas Sharma. Senior cricketer Surinder Sharma was the chief guest in today's match. |
