| Kranti Dal demands regularisation of PDD daily wagers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 8: Kranti Dal has announced to extend its full support to the PDD daily wagers, who are on agitation seeking their regularization. A delegation of Kranti Dal activists led by its general secretary Pritam Sharma, youth working president Jagdish Sudan, city president Rajinder Bhagat today met PDD daily wagers and declared their full support to the agitating PDD daily wagers.
While speaking on the occasion, Pritam Sharma said that state government is applying pre-independence British rule like attitude towards the PDD daily wagers.
The condition of PDD daily wagers has become from bad to worse and their families are on the verge of starvation.
The education of the children of these daily wagers has been stopped due to financial crisis. Jagdish Sudan said that the PDD daily wagers are serving the department with full dedication and have devoted one third of their lives in the service of department. While performing their duties, they take risk of their lives where some of them become handicapped and a few even lost their lives. The govt. should ensure that wages due to them are paid and process of regularisation is initiated without any further delay. |
