| Govt asked to pass appropriate order in SDM Kishtwar 's Report | | Custodial escape case | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 8: Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing in a petition filed by Bhadur Wani, directed state Govt to pass appropriate order on the recommendations of Additional District Magistrate Kishtwar within three weeks.
Justice JP Singh after hearing Adv Aseem Sawhney for the petitioner whereas Advocate General Gagan Basotra for the state, the magisterial report received in sealed cover was opened and copies of the report supplied to counsel for the parties for response. The Additional District Magi-strate Kishtwar has recommended immediate more stringent against Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal the then Supt of Police Kishtwar for connivance in escaping of accused wanted in murder case.
Court also asked the Financial Commissioner Home to file Status report on the action taken by the Govt in this behalf.
In the enquiry it has been alleged that the custodial escape of ANE (Anti National Element) Eijaz Saleem @ Saleeem from Police Station Marwah and involvement of police officers in the facilitation the release. (JNF) |
