Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8: Referring to recent political chaos after reported indication of name of Minister for Education whose son's name was in limelight for using 'unfair means' in matriculation examination, Peoples Democratic Party leadership said observed mere removal of Peerzada from cabinet would not solve problem of corruption in state.
Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti today reportedly said, "Removal of Peerzada from cabinet does not solve the problem of corruption in Jammu and Kashmir till Chief Minister Omar Abdullah continues to remain in power till he (Omar) comes clean in Hajji Yousaf death row.
"Omar must first come clean on charges of corruption in Hajji Yousaf case, where he and his father Dr. Farooq Adullah and are allegedly fixing MLCs and Ministerial births in lieu of huge money, she said.
She stated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has no moral responsibility to remain in power as he was facing severe charges in Hajji Yousaf death case. She said that as per various media reports, senior minister in Omar Abdullah government was involved in corruption by accumulating huge wealth in state as well as outside the country.
Mehbooba said that Omar must also seek answer from his Minister Abdul Rahim Rather and Ali Mohammad Sagar who according to media reports have purchased property assets in Dubai. She said that beside serious allegations on Ali Mohammad Sagar and Abdul Rahim Rather, the allegation against PHE Minister Taj Mohu-Din comes from his own colleague which also need a must reply from Omar Abdullah.
