‘A Women’s Empowerment Programme’ was organized by Multiple Action Research Group, Salchar, in collaboration with Nehru Yuwa Kendra, Jammu, at Beautician Training Centre in village Rathana (R.S. Pura). This was stated here by the Group in a release.
Dr. Mahinder Singh Sarpanch Pyt.Rathana was the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion Singh advised the students to learn the skill properly and achieve the goal in life. He appealed the NGOs/WOs to do more work for the upliftment of women, the release added.
Speaking on the occasion, president of the MARG, Chander Bushan, stressed the need to learn effectively and stand on one’s own feet, the release further said.
Others who spoke on the occasion arepresident KRWDS, Yashwant Singh Chowdhry, president JKDSS Gara Ram,Shanker Singh (NSV), Vijay Kumar (NYS) NYK-Jammu, Praveen Kumar and Rajni Bharti,the release said.
