| Lohri Milan party organized first time after eruption of militancy | | | BHADERWAH, JAN 17
Dharam Sanatan Sabha organized a Lohri Milan party, first time after the eruption of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir in 1989. People from other communities also joined the Milan Party in large numbers.
SDM PK Pole was the chief guest, SHO Ajay Jamwal, Koshal Kumar Dogra senior advisor of the Sabha and Abdul Hafeez Khateeb Vice President Anjman-Islamia Bhaderwah were guest of honour. It is for the first time that a senior leader of the Anjman Islamia participated in the function.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM said that joyous festival of Lohri marks the end of the winter season and beginning of the spring adding that the festival teaches us love and brotherhood. The participants at the function made bonfire and danced.
Welcoming the participants, Koshal Dogra said that in near future such functions would be organized on larger scale to bring people of different communities more closer to each other.
Hafeez Khateeb appreciated the Sabha for organizing such a grand function with zeal and gusto this time hoped that it would definitely defeat the nefarious design of anti-social elements and assured that Anjuman Islami will also organize such get together in future to strengthen the communal harmony and brotherhood.
SHO Ajay Jamal who also spoke on the occasion thanked Sabha for organizing Lohri Milian party as a good will gesture.
Those who participated in the function included Dharnter Singh, Tilak Raj Yogi, Vijay Kumar, Romesh Chander Khajuria, Bodh Raj Manhas ,Om Parkash Sharma ,Ramesh Kumar Gupta ,Anoop Kumar Kotwal and Manoj Kumar Gupta .
