| CD training camp starts at Majalta | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Feb 08- A 5-day Civil Defence Basic Training Camp commenced at Government Higher Secondary School Majalta here today. The camp is being organized by the Civil Defence Organization, Udhampur. As many as 200 students are being imparted training in the camp.
Principal of the host school, Dayal singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Bodh Raj in his welcome address threw light on the civil defence activities being carried out in the district. He gave purposeful lecture on precautionary measures to be adopted during disaster.
The Civil Defence Organization has chalked out a detailed plan to start the civil defence activities by organizing five days basic civil defence training camp at the selected areas by involving NGO's, Social Organizations, NCC, NSS, NYK volunteers, sarpanches and panches besides large number of school and college students, the Deputy Controller apprised.
Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Advocate Swatantar Dev Kotwal delivered lecture on Civil Defence services and conducted proceedings of the function.
Lecturer of the host institution Miss Palvi Jamwal presented vote of thanks.
