KISHTWAR Feb 8: Police, in a raid conducted at Malipath here, seized 85 bags of government cement from a local service station. SDPO, Kishtwar, Abrar Choudhary, said acting on a tip-off about the illegal dump of government cement at Malipath, police, along with naib-tehsildar (1st class magistrate) Rajesh Kumar, raided a service station owned by Mohammad Amin and seized 85 bags of government.
He said an inquiry had been ordered. Police were verifying some facts pertaining to the seized material besides identifying the concerned government department.
Amin, however, claimed that the place from where police seized the cement had been given on rent to a contractor. He said he had nothing to do with the recovery.
