Engineers XI, Param FC sails into next round | 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 9: Engineers XI and Param Football Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of the 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by Youth National Conference at GGM Science College ground, here today. In the first match of the day, clad in black jersey, Engineers XI trounced NGR Club by four goals to one. Though NGR took the first lead yet they could not consolidate further and conceded four goals in the second half of the play. Umar Shah netted the ball for first goal for NGR Club in the 30th minute to go 1-0 up at the end of first half. However, playing with mostly the Ladakhi students, Engineers XI fought back and dominated the field completely to make it a big 4-1 lead. Nurboo (45th), Lobzang (48th), Tsering Dorje (53rd) and Tsering Tundup (68th) were the scorers from winners Engineers XI. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Param Football Club defeated Young Rovers by a solitary goal in a well contested game. The only goal of the match came through Shubam Sambyal in the 20th minute. Today's matches were officiated by the penal of experts including Vijay Kumar (center), Koushal Kumar, Sohan Lal, Rakesh Kumar, Rajiv Dev (center), Mohd Shafi, Ricky Kumar and Rajesh Kumar. NEXT MATCH: Churchill Brothers shall take on Mussa Club at 1 pm while Jammu United shall face Shahid Bhagat Singh Club at 3 pm tomorrow. |
