EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 9: Young Panthers today organized a massive protest demonstration at Press Club, Jammu seeking the dismissal of the coalition government in view of involvement of majority of its ministers in 'scams, frauds and bungling'.
The protest demonstration was held under the leadership of Pushvinder Singh Manhas (State Sr. Vice-President, Young Panthers and In-charge NPSU) who was accompanied by K S Bedi (Vice President Young Panthers), Partap Singh Jamwal (Prov. President NPSU), Virender Singh (President NPSU wing, JU).
Addressing the gathering, Pushvinder Singh Manhas said that the present ruling coalition had lost its moral right to continue in office in view of series of scandals in which it was involved including the infamous sex scandal, land grabbing scams, MBBS scam, JKBOSE scam, PHE scam besides numerous others. He said that the aforesaid scandals were only a tip of the ice-berg and there were countless other skeletons in the cupboards of the ruling coalition. The youth leader maintained that the state government which had miserably failed on governance front with total collapse of its administrative machinery had earned the dubious distinction of being the top corrupt state in the country.
He further said that when most of the ministers of the present NC-Cong. led coalition government themselves are involved in various scandals, it is not at all possible that the present government can deliver justice and all claims of the Chief Minister of the state of providing corruption free government in the state seems to be fake. He questioned CM of the state that why he is unable to take any action against tainted ministers in his cabinet? Why he is silent over the repeated scandals in the state by his worthy ministers?
Manhas maintained that while the state was repeatedly dubbed as tail-ender in development and in implementation of welfare and other public oriented sche-mes, it had achieved the top position in corruption in the reckoning of the Transpa-rency International. The Young Panthers further castigated the government for its anti-youth policies and its total failure to meet the aspirations of unemployed youth rejecting the newly proposed Recrui-tment Policy, the Young Panthers demanded its imm-ediate roll back. The Young Panthers leader Manhas said that the NC-Congress led coalition government is the mother of corruption and said that in view of multiple failures of the government and its total collapse, the Governor should immediately intervene and dismiss it so that fresh elections could be held in the state.
